The company Postini has just got a patent that could cause trouble for many spam filter products. The main problem is that most spam filters use outside lists, resources, algorythms and so on. This negative rejection filter approach has limitations to fighting spam. That is what seems to make Mailbox Filter a strong contender against most spam filters out there. Time will tell how this plays out.
